Your Health – My Mission

I really am passionate about your health.

What fulfils me and makes me truly happy, is helping you recover from whatever conditions you are struggling with.

I love my work!

You and I will work together like health detectives to find the various root causes that are driving your symptoms.  Once we have gathered the clues and identified the likely suspects, we can go to work to:

  • Remove the aspects that are getting in the way of you healing yourself
  • Replace the missing aspects
  • Repair the damaged ones
  • Re-populate your gut with friendly, helpful bugs, and
  • Re-balance your entire system.
This isn’t just about food. It’s also about helping you lighten your life-load. In short, it’s the mind/body connection to help you recover your health.

As well as what you choose to eat, we’ll work to help you sleep a lot better; exercise a little more; stress a lot less and
get the fun back into your life.

We all know that if we are worried, sad, or even angry, we are more likely to get sick than when everything is going well.
That’s why we need to look at more than just your food – we need to help you feel happier and more fulfilled to get healthier.
That’s not to say that accidents don’t happen, but even after an accident, there are things you can do to help yourself get better, quicker.
My job is to help you implement them.

Experience and Professionalism

I’m a  Nutritional Therapist, Naturopath, Lactation Consultant ad Wellbeing Coach, with Diplomas in Naturopathy, Nutritional Therapy, Business Analysis; a BSc in Psychology (Hons); am member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners; the General Naturopathic Council and Lactation Consultants of Great Britain.

I have been studying what works for health for almost as long as I can remember. My mother managed to rid herself of rheumatoid arthritis using food when she was in her fifties. I never realised how rare that was, at the time. I began researching my own chronic, debilitating eczema and multiple allergies when I was twenty. It took me fifteen years to find what worked – then I finally managed to get rid of the eczema in fifteen days.

I trained as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to help other mothers and babies avoid the health issues I went through as a baby, so I knew a great deal about infant feeding, milk, disrupted immune systems and disease. IBCLC is a recognised Allied Health Professional qualification, equivalent to a Masters degree.
I followed that up with the three year Diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition (Dip NT), with a further Diploma in Naturopathy (Dip.Nat) and Wellbeing Coaching, accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management.
This was on top of my Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) in Psychology, where I specialised in Developmental Psychology, Psychology and Medicine, Psychopathology and Mental Handicap. I was also trained in counselling by the Samaritans and Relate, for the university’s Students’ Counselling Service, Niteline.

On top of the this rewarding work, I also reviewed the research base and draft guidelines for the National Institute for Care and Health Excellence (NICE) for over seven years on behalf of Lactation Consultants of Great Britain. I sent in comments, additional research and suggestions on best practice, many of which have been taken up.
I attend the All Party Parliamentary Group on Infant Feeding and Inequality, and am a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Human Gut Microbiome.

A Therapist Who Cares for you

Part of my job is to give you the understanding on the most effective ways to take care of your body and mind.

You will know what you are doing and why, so that you can take the steps you need to heal yourself.

Not only will I help you address your existing conditions, I will also work to prevent any other pain and illness from occurring.

My objective is to help you recover your health; improve your quality of life and live your best life possible.
